If you're in crisis or need professional mental health support, I encourage you to reach out to a qualified provider. What I offer is friendly, human conversation — the kind you might have with a trusted friend.

You'll be talking with me — Marcie, the founder of The Listening Bench. I'm a warm, attentive listener who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. I'll listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions when it feels natural, and give you space to say whatever is on your mind. I'm not there to fix anything — just to be present with you.

At your scheduled time, I call you. There's no script, no intake form to recite, no agenda to follow. You can talk about your day, something on your mind, a memory, a worry, or nothing in particular. I'm simply there to hear you.

That's completely welcome. Many callers just want a friendly voice and a bit of easy conversation. You don't need a reason or a topic. Light and easy is just as valid as deep and meaningful.

Standard calls are 30 minutes. If you'd like more time, 60-minute sessions are also available. You choose the length when you schedule.

Absolutely. You can book as many calls as you'd like — just schedule each one when you're ready. Many callers find a regular rhythm, like the same day and time each week, and simply rebook after each call.

You can cancel any time using the link in your booking confirmation email. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled call are eligible for a full refund — just contact me after cancelling and I'll process it for you. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable.
